Project Partners Ports de Balears and LEITAT in collaboration with the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain are valuing the potential use of PortForward use case related to the prediction of port-city interactions. The aim of the use case is to make use of the localization data provided by the WiFi network deployed in the port area as well as in other key areas of the city of Palma, in order to estimate in real time the degree of occupation of different city locations and recommend avoiding crowded locations, and thus minimize the effect of COVID-19.
